imec Technology Forum - Smart Living

TERASEL Movie

Smart Living is the theme of ITF 2015 in Brussels; to demonstrate this imec has fabricated a highly integrated light source which fits within a commercially available light fixture. Using the stretchable mould interconnect technology 72 LEDs were turned into an omni directional light source without the need for additional heatsinks. This light source displays the key concepts of TERASEL technology, and the potential for aesthetic improvements and integration into everyday household objects.
